Anyone who has ever visited the dentist has had at one point the shit scared out of them by one thing or another. The whirring sound of the drill, the crunching noise of a tooth being broken for removal, the smell of the office. Well, this past Thursday, I experienced this...man oh man did I experience this.

I had been having problems with a tooth so off to the dentist I go. After not visiting a dentist for roughly 14 years, I was fairly certain that I had some problems. Come to find out that those problems amounted to the removal of 5 teeth the very next day. Yes, Five teeth. Three wisdom teeth, as I never had a fourth one develop, and two molars. One of which was cracked by a wisdom tooth that had grown in sideways. So needless to say, now I'm on a liquid, squishy food diet and antibiotics. The left side of my jaw is sore as hell from the doc having to dig in to get to the one wisdom tooth that had developed, yet had not breached the gum, which it too had grown in sideways.

Ugh, can't open my mouth very wide before the soreness of having my jaw cranked open so wide kicks in. But I'll take that any day over the pain that came with the damn toothache.

Next Friday I return to the surgeon for a checkup on the sutures. After that it's back to the regular dentist at the end of the month for more work. I distinctly remember her saying "Root Canal". /cringe
